WOOLRICH, PA (For Immediate Release) -- Woolrich, the title sponsor for Backpacker’s 2010 Get Out More Tour, will celebrate the midway point of the national retailer outreach program with a special toast at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show.
Slated for 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 4, during the Woolrich Adventures Happy Hour (Booth ORSM# 19001-20001), the toast will commemorate a record-breaking season of connecting with new and existing outdoor enthusiasts at the most critical location – the retail shop floor.
“Woolrich has supported the Get Out More Tour for three years because it’s a truly unique program. It provides outdoor retailers with the opportunity to interact with hundreds of eager, engaged customers as they learn how to connect the dots between what’s happening on the trails and what’s happening in the latest outdoor clothing and equipment,” said Jerry Rinder, Woolrich vice-president of sales and marketing.
The 2010 season marks the tenth anniversary of the Get Out More Tour and continues Backpacker’s mission to inspire and enable people to enjoy the outdoors by providing the most trusted and engaging information about backcountry adventure in North America.
On the road from May through November, Get Out More Tour hosts Sheri and Randy Propster follow an annual calendar that includes visiting specialty outdoor retailers and festivals in 48 states and 75 cities.
Their humorous, interactive 60-minute free seminar touches on trip planning, choosing the right outdoor gear and apparel, and safety in the outdoors.
In the month of August alone, the Get Out More Tour will host events in Natick, Mass.; Cranston, Rhode Island; New York City, NY; Minneapolis, Minn.; Fargo, N.D.; Rapid City, SD; Buffalo, Wyo.; and Helena, Mont.

At the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show, the Get Out More rertailer toast will occur during the Woolrich Adventures Happy Hour. During that event, Woolrich will also be giving away a once-in-a-lifetime railroad adventure for two through the Canadian Rockies.
