EASLEY, S.C. - Confluence Watersports has hired Todd Ventrola for the newly created position of director, design and engineering. Todd is responsible for integrating the design, engineering and product development departments into a cohesive team that delivers world-class products.

“Our brands are known for exceptional design and styling,” said Sue Rechner, CEO of Confluence. “While the design team will continue to get input from our customer-facing departments, this new structure will take us to the next level in product design, innovation and engineering. We aim for nothing less than to have the most desired brands in the market, and world class performance and outfitting in every product we make.”

Todd brings 23 years of experience in consumer product and project engineering. Prior to joining Confluence, he held senior product engineering roles at Evenflo, a manufacturer of consumer infant products, and Hasbro the international toy manufacturer.

“Demand for high performance, well-designed and well-engineered boats continues to increase. Todd's background in consumer products is a huge advantage for our goal of consistently propelling our design and engineering expertise forward,” said Larry Knust, VP and COO. “Along with continued expansion of engineering knowledge, design for manufacture and assembly techniques are critical parts of our strategy to be the most responsive company to the marketplace.”

Todd earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Todd and his family will move to South Carolina this summer.
