Timex, a leader in outdoor and sports performance timepieces, will showcase the Timex® Ironman® brand's newest precision instruments at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010.

The brand will showcase a wide variety of collections from its extensive portfolio, including: the Timex® Ironman® Global Trainer™ Bodylink® System, a GPS-enabled watch built for runners and triathletes; Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro, an ergonomic digital heart rate monitor designed for competitive multisport use; Timex Ironman Dual Tech, a series of digital sports timing instruments featuring a stylish analog twist, as well as new styling in the Timex Ironman 50-lap and Timex Ironman 30-lap collections.

“Timex's commitment to fitness technology is most visibly evident through our recent expansion in the fitness measurement category, with the introductions of the Timex Ironman Global Trainer and Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro for elite athletes,” said Heberto Calves, vice president of marketing at Timex. “Timex has an unparalleled heritage of creating innovative, reliable timepieces for endurance athletes of all levels, but our core business is driven by the competitive athlete who is dedicated to improving performance.”

The Timex Ironman Global Trainer Bodylink System is an all-in-one, GPS-enabled wrist device designed for elite performance. The product is technologically advanced for modern athletes, but does not sacrifice the reliability, ease-of-use and affordability that users have come to expect from Timex. The Global Trainer system will be available for purchase at sports specialty retailers around the world and on Timex.com in September 2010, priced from $299.95 to $359.95.

The Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro is an advanced digital heart rate monitor distinguished by its unique fit on the athlete's wrist. The digital display of the watch rests on the side of the wrist, allowing the athlete to check heart rate, zone or time without turning his or her wrist or letting go of bike handlebars. Similar to the Timex Ironman Global Trainer and the recently released Timex Ironman Race Trainer, this heart rate monitor boasts an impressive array of sports timing features and wirelessly syncs with the user's computer, allowing workouts to be saved and analyzed online. The Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro will be available in February 2011 in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $169.95.

The versatile Timex Ironman Dual Tech collection combines a traditional analog display with the digital performance features of a Timex Ironman watch. The collection's digital display can be conveniently turned on or off with the push of a button, providing the flexibility to also appear as a casual analog timepiece. The latest addition to the popular Timex Ironman Dress line, the Timex Ironman Dual Tech collection is currently available in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $79.95.

The Timex® Ironman® Sleek™ 50-Lap collection has been expanded to include four new full-size styles, now delivering the robust sports functionality and streamlined design that has made the collection's mid-size styles a favorite of female athletes for years. The Timex Ironman Sleek 50-Lap collection includes black/blue, black/orange, black/yellow and black/white styles, and incorporates a distinctive carbon fiber pattern. The collection is currently available for purchase in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $64.95.

The four new styles that make up the Timex Ironman 50-Lap collection, which for the first time include interval timers, feature an enlarged case design, expanded viewing area, and updated replaceable strap. Available in black/blue, black/orange, black/yellow and black/black styles, the Timex Ironman 50-Lap will be available in March 2011 in sports specialty sports stores worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $59.95.

Both the Timex Ironman Sleek 50-Lap and Timex Ironman 50-Lap collections are equipped with a chronograph training log that stores workouts by date with best lap, average lap and total segment time; a 100-hour chronograph that displays lap or split times in large digits; a 50-lap memory recall; two interval timers; an automatic interval repetition counter, and a 99-lap counter, among other features. The products are water-resistant to 100m and boast an INDIGLO® night-light setting.

The Timex Ironman Shock Resistant 30-Lap Gloss Colors collection is distinguished by its large LCD screen, angular structure and bright, high-gloss finish that makes a bold fashion statement. Its 30-lap memory recall, 100-hour chronograph with lap/split, 24-hour countdown timer and shock-resistant case provide the functionality to accommodate an active lifestyle. Available in rock gray, berry and mountain blue styles, the Timex Ironman 30-Lap Gloss Colors will be available for purchase for a limited time only – starting in October 2010 – in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com, priced at $59.95.

The Timex Ironman 30-Lap Oversize is inspired by the classic Timex Ironman 30-Lap design, but characterized by a bigger, bolder case. The collection boasts: a 100-hour chronograph that displays lap or split times in large digits; a 30-lap memory recall; two interval timers, and a 99-lap counter, as well as an innovative occasion mode which allows the user to preset anniversaries, holidays, birthdays and appointments. The Timex Ironman 30-Lap Oversize is currently available in sports specialty retailers worldwide and on Timex.com for $49.95.

In addition to showcasing the latest in sports timing technology, Timex will support its marquee partnerships with the New York Giants and New York Road Runners with an exciting new platform this year, as New York Giants great Amani Toomer will compete in the ING New York City Marathon as part of Team Timex. Toomer will start the race dead last, and Timex will donate $1 to NYRR youth charities for each participant he passes on race day. All are invited to follow Amani's marathon training at Facebook.com/TimexSports, where the gridiron great frequently drops in to discuss training and football.
