Therm-a-Rest, the Seattle-based leader in premium outdoor comfort, announced it won an OutDoor INDUSTRY AWARD for its new Therm-a-Rest LuxuryLite® UltraLite Cot™ at the 2012 European OutDoor Trade Fair. The LuxuryLite UltraLite Cot was recognized for its degree of innovation, choice of materials and functionality.

The UltraLite Cot is so light and packable—.9kg (2 lb.) and 15 x 41 cm (6 x 15 in.), respectively—even backpackers can carry it into the backcountry, and it fits easily into panniers, kayaks and other tight storage places. It features a laminated waterproof and stretch-free nylon cover, anodized aluminum poles, and durable nylon feet for heavy use.

The cot's patented bow frame technology creates a stretch-free fabric bed that offers superior comfort, eliminating painful crossbars and squeaky joints found in other cots. It allows users to camp anywhere—rocky, swampy and even uneven ground are not a problem because users sleep 11 cm (4.5 in.) above ground, and is especially great for anyone who frequently experiences back pain. The LuxuryLite UltraLite cot also makes a superior addition to any Therm-a-Rest sleep system for unrivaled comfort in the backcountry and on global adventures.

Therm-a-Rest's award-winning LuxuryLite UltraLite Cot will be shown at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August, 2012. The cot, along with a wider, mesh version called the LuxuryLite Mesh Cot, will be available in stores starting in July 2012.
