The Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to welcome Eryn Willard, Julie Harris, Steph Teleen, Megan McGovern, Katie Peterson, Ali Sacash-Johnson and Kristen Sagan to its Board of Directors. And to announce the promotion of Lisa Morrison as the Marketing and Branding Committee Chair.

Eryn Willard, a graphic designer and founder of Studio 22, brings her industry expertise to the Marketing and Branding committee as the OIWC Brand Manager. Working with accounts such as the National Recreation and Park Association, the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, the National Coalition to Promote Physical Activity, and the National Park Service has enabled Willard to combine her outdoor passions with her professional interests.

Entrepreneur Steph Teleen, owner of Jakfish Clothing, joins the Regional Programs Committee as the Network Night Leader. Said Teleen, “I was thrilled to be asked to be on the Board and hope that I can maximize my skill set to be able to help bring OIWC to other women like me – those who have big plans and just need a friendly face to get going.” Joining Teleen on the Regional Programs Committee is adventure enthusiast Julie Harris. Overseeing 11 Northern California stores, Harris is the current Retail Sales Director for REI in the San Francisco Bay Area, and will assume the role as Chair for the Regional Programs Committee. Fellow REI employee, Katie Peterson, will assist the Volunteer Programs through her Recruitment and Placement role.

Peterson has volunteered with the OIWC for a year and a half. In addition to her volunteer work with the OIWC, she is an avid volunteer with several other Seattle-based non-profit groups focused on women's issues. She is hopeful that her experience as a Senior Recruiter for REI's Talent Management and Recruiting will help further strengthen the infrastructure of the organization.

Heading up the Fundraising Committee is Megan McGovern. McGovern, a Sales Associate at Adventure 16, will contribute her advertising experience and knowledge to the Marketing and Communications position of the OIWC. Ali Sacash-Johnson, a 15-year veteran of the outdoor and snow sports industries, will lend her business expertise to the mission of the OIWC as the Chair of the Membership Committee. Says McGovern, “Every new opportunity I've been given by or through the OIWC has been personally rewarding. I'm looking forward to inspiring others as I serve on the board. “ Ali Sacash-Johnson, a 15-year marketing veteran of the outdoor and snow sports industries, will lend her business expertise to the mission of the OIWC as the Chair

of the Membership Committee. Sacash-Johnson's research firm, True North Marketing, recently completed OIWC's “Career Satisfaction Study,” which provided a comprehensive look into the industries' women and their careers.

Kristen Sagan, who works in Corporate Responsibility at Columbia Sportswear in Portland, OR, is the newest Treasurer of the OIWC. Sagan is involved in several volunteer activities including the Portland Marathon organizing committee, Past President and Treasurer of the Portland Ohio State Alumni Club, and Treasurer for a small non-profit called Betties 360.

Lisa Morrison, a strategic marketing consultant has been promoted to the Marketing and Branding Committee Chair for the OIWC.
