JUNE 1, 2011 – The Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to announce the launch of the completely revamped website at OIWC.org.

The new website, which has been in the works for six months, makes it easy to find the features that are most important to OIWC members. All new features focus on professional development resources and networking opportunities. As the organization has grown, so has its depth and capabilities:

• News & Resources: Easy-to-access relevant articles on professional and personal topics, with new resources added daily. Resources include original content from OIWC, recommended articles from outside sources, recommended websites and videos, and more.
• Bookstore: An Amazon bookstore with recommended reads submitted by members and professional development professionals. The OIWC receives a portion of each sale made through this bookstore.
• Career Center: Job-hunt, browse resumes, post opportunities and research the industry. Openings are FREE for OIWC corporate members, and $150/post/month for all others.
• Online Community: OIWC members have access to a strong online network of nearly 1,500 OIWC members. Pick a group, search out other members, send messages and network.
• OIWC Events: OIWC has grown from three regional events in 2008 to 25 events in 2011, and has added quarterly webinars as well. Events can be searched by date or type.
• Leadership Awards: Each year, OIWC recognizes six outstanding women with one of two leadership awards. Nominations are now accepted year-round. For inspiration, visit this section to read about past recipients.
• Involvement: To round out the new website, OIWC added an easy to digest "Get Involved” page with ways to get more involved with OIWC, share news and take advantage of membership benefits through discounts and forums.

“This new site is rich with insider information to the outdoor community,” Said Sally Grimes, Executive Director of the OIWC, “It is a straight-forward and helpful career tool that is extremely simple to navigate. I encourage people to explore the new site and give us feedback and comments.”
