San Francisco, Calif. (November 8, 2018) — Sufferfest Beer Co., a functional beer brand brewed by athletes, for athletes, is proud to announce its official title sponsorship of the 2019 Old Man Winter Rally, an iconic run and/or ride race on some of Colorado’s best mixed terrain.

Each athlete will be rewarded with a hot meal and a cold Sufferfest beer at the finish line.

“Old Man Winter Rally is a true Colorado event,” said Caitlin Landesberg, founder and CEO of Sufferfest Beer. “It’s got everything that make up a true sufferfest: epic weather, challenging terrain, and massive camaraderie. We couldn’t think of better reasons to get behind this event.”

Celebrating its 5th year, Old Man Winter Rally was created by Adventure Fit, an award-winning experiential event company based in Boulder. In years past, participants have spanned more than 20 states and three countries.

“After enjoying many wintry adventures in Boulder County, we set out to create a world-class winter event in our backyard and the Old Man Winter was born,” said President Josh Kravetz. “We love that Sufferfest brews great craft beer with benefits and it will definitely hit the spot after a big day at Old Man Winter.”

The event offers two bike course options, a 5.7 mile run, and a newer run/bike combo. The 50-kilometer route tours scenic, rolling terrain that has made Boulder County, Colorado one of the country’s most popular gravel riding destinations. The 100-kilometer ride starts with the same scenic mixed terrain as the 50-kilometer course before sending cyclists on a roller coaster route of climbs and descents through the snow-filled canyons west of Boulder. The event’s 5.7-mile running race combines gravel paths, single track, and a red rock canyon and the Run/Bike combo that is popular for multi-sport athletes.

All participants are supported with well-stocked aid stations and a huge after party with hot food, fire pits, and refreshing beer. Participants can join Sufferfest Beer Co. as they host the exclusive Old Man Winter Rally after party in celebration of the beer-deserving feat.

Their entirely canned lineup makes Sufferfest optimal and responsible to bring to the trail, crag, river and beyond. Keeping with responsibility, Sufferfest is a Certified B Corporation and encourages all Leave No Trace principles: pack it in, pack it out.
