SmartWool Creates Two New Positions To Enhance Key Retailer Relations

SmartWool has created two new positions which highlight their commitment to key retailers: Sales Manager – Outdoor Specialty, and Director of Sales – Socks to be filled by Carol Momoda and Amy Beck, respectively.

Cementing SmartWool's leadership within the Outdoor community, two new positions have been created which highlight their commitment to key retailers: Sales Manager – Outdoor Specialty, and Director of Sales – Socks to be filled by Carol Momoda and Amy Beck, respectively. Both Momoda and Beck are experienced and respected within SmartWool and the Outdoor industry and will be essential in supporting retailers and consumer relationships.

As the new Sales Manager – Outdoor Specialty, Ms. Momoda will be supporting all aspects of the SmartWool brand within the premium outdoor specialty channel of distribution. Responsibilities include the development of customer account plans around assortment, promotions, visual merchandising and grassroots event tie-in. Momoda will also be the lead contact to all industry buying group relationships and will manage the successful execution of the SmartDealer program.

Ms Beck's responsibilities as Director of Sales – Socks include the development of consumer and retail customer strategies to grow the domestic and lifestyle sock business. She will provide better execution and attention to detail and facilitate highly effective communication with retail partners, essential for an industry leader. In addition, she will be leading the entire go to market process for all SmartWool® socks, including providing accurate, detailed seasonal forecasts and participating in the long range planning process for 1, 3 and 5 year periods. She will also be interfacing with merchandising, marketing and operations departments appropriately throughout the process.

Together Ms Momoda and Ms Beck will analyze the competitive environment, and current performance at retail. They will also be researching new business opportunities and evaluate current and future distribution in the premium outdoor specialty channel.
