SEATTLE, WA (June 27, 2017) – For nearly 32 years, SealLine has made durable and reliable protective gear, enabling outdoor enthusiasts to adventure confidently without worry of weather affecting personal belongings. What first began as a passion project to create waterproof bags for kayaking and whitewater rafting has grown to a full offering of radio frequency (RF) welded dry bags, sacks, packs, duffles and cases to fit any and all types of outdoor activities.

For 2018, the Seattle-based brand is expanding its ultralight BlockerLite and lightweight Blocker lines of protective sacks to offer more feature-rich waterproof (roll-down closure) and splashproof (cinch or zip closures) options. This significant expansion provides backpackers, hikers and paddlers a full range of products for organizing and protecting their gear.

“Most people understand the importance of keeping your body dry while you’re outdoors,” explains Stacie Langtry, Category Manager at SealLine. “Keeping gear protected can be just as important—imagine sleeping in a wet sleeping bag in the backcountry or trying to stay warm in a wet down jacket – it could be disastrous.”

A highlight of the brand’s expansions is the ultralight BlockerLite Compression Dry Sack, which, in addition to waterproof protection, boasts an innovative compression system that minimizes seam strain and increases durability, all while compressing down into an efficient-packing block shape. The new sack also features the waterproof PurgeAir™ valve, which swiftly vents trapped air for quick and easy compression. These features, along with others, will be available across both the ultralight BlockerLite and lightweight and versatile Blocker series of protective sacks.

All of the BlockerLite and Blocker sacks have efficient-packing block shapes, as suggested by their product names. These block shapes help maximize the use of limited interior space in backpacks and other gear haulers, optimizing the packing, organizing and protecting of gear.

The new product lines will be showcased at the Outdoor show in Friedrichshafen, Germany and the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City this summer, 2017.
