prAna Announces 100% Sustainable Swimwear Collection for Spring 2020 - SNEWS

Carlsbad, CA – June 18, 2019prAna, a leader in sustainably-made, stylish and versatile apparel that inspires you to chase adventure, thrive, and stay active in your unique way announced today that the brand’s entire Spring/Summer 2020 swimwear collection features 100% sustainable products. In the women’s swim suit offering, prAna has partnered with leaders in sustainable fiber regeneration to produce a fabric blend using ECONYL® Recycled Nylon combined with LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ Elastane; these products are made to last. The Men’s collection features board shorts in a variety of fabrics including a custom stretch blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton. Additionally, women’s cover ups and men’s sun tops are built using additional sustainable attributes such as bluesign® approved fabrics, sustainable fibers, and Fair Trade Certified production.

“We believe it is our responsibility to use our business as a platform to positively protect our environment,” said Rachel Lincoln, prAna’s Director of Sustainability. “In the Spring 2019 collection alone we saved 2936 kilograms of fishnets from the ocean by using ECONYL® Recycled Nylon in our swimwear collection. We are excited to see the results of our 100% sustainable collection, as we continue to push for positive change.”

prAna Women’s Swim Collection
prAna’s Spring/Summer women’s swim collection features stay put performance, flawless fit as well as on-trend color palette and prints in classic, sporty and novelty silhouettes. Standout styles for the season include the long sleeve cropped Aquilia Top paired with high waisted Millan Bottom, the high waisted, cut out Neolani One Piece and the sophisticated Rhette collection with twist accent details and coordinating Vinho Tankini and Brigi Skirt.

Standout styles include the Sander Boardshort in the Retro Teal Getaway print, Metric E-Waist Zip in the Sardine print, High Seas Boardshort in a solid Atlantic colorway with banded pop of color, and the Fenton Boardshort in the Pontoon print.
