Steamboat, Colo. (May 25, 2010) – point6™
, designer and manufacturer of premium merino wool socks, is on the move in 2010 as they expand to larger offices in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

The company is currently experiencing rapid growth and anticipates hiring new personnel to position them for future expansion, prompting the move to a larger office space. Nestled between the town and Steamboat Ski Resort, the new location is equipped with a full product showroom, expanded offices, mountain views, and easy access to Steamboat's extensive trail systems.

Much of the company's growth can be attributed to the success of their premium merino products' quality, innovative designs and state of the art sock construction. point6 exclusively uses 100% compact spun merino yarns versus conventional ring spun yarns to address durability issues sometimes present with merino wool. Also providing a solution to bulky and itchy socks, point6 has created the “precise, anatomical fit” for socks that are comfortable, itch-free and blister-free.

“Our track record for creating innovative products is a result of our team's extensive experience and passion for merino, “ said Peter Duke, point6 founder and CEO. We are thrilled to be back in the merino business and our recent success is attributed to our team's collective hard work, dedication and expertise.”

Founders Peter and Patty Duke helped establish the awareness of performance wool in the outdoor industry nearly twenty years ago when they introduced the first major game-changing merino sock brand to the outdoor market. point6 entered its first season at retail in the outdoor market during the winter of 2009/10 and has since experienced exponential growth despite market saturation in the merino category.
