Penguin Brands' Head Product Innovater to Deliver Design Presentation

Canice Harte, vice president of licensing and innovation at Penguin Brands, will deliver a keynote presentation on May 24 in Park City, Utah at The Kimball Art Center as part of the non-profit center's monthly “Art Talk” series.

Harte, an experienced and dynamic product innovator who founded the bottle company Waterbox, now owned by Penguin Brands, will illustrate and discuss the intersection of art and design in product development. Harte's presentation will focus on the evolution of the Waterbox brand – a company whose tagline is form, function, and beauty – and its distinctive line of steel, Tritan, and glass reusable water bottles.

Harte will also highlight his past and current experiences in apparel and accessory design at leading outdoor companies, including his current involvement with Nathan, an industry leader in performance accessories and Waterbox's sister company under the Penguin umbrella.

An energetic sales and marketing strategist and executive, Harte developed his skills of entrepreneurship, international and domestic sales, and leadership over the course of 15 years at companies including Salomon, Patagonia, and The North Face. After successfully launching Waterbox in 2008, Harte secured a contract to license the Skechers brand in the U.S.

Penguin Brands purchased Waterbox in 2011, bringing Harte on full-time to join an experienced and robust executive team tasked with leading a multibrand, multimillion-dollar consumer goods company with distribution in over 42 countries.
