To commemorate its 10th year anniversary, the Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition (OIWC) will be hosting a recognition luncheon, designed to honor and recognize those women who were responsible for the conceptualization, creation and development of OIWC during the past 10 years.

Sponsored by Contourwear and GoLite, the 10th Anniversary Luncheon: Honoring Our Past and Future will provide an opportunity for OIWC members to meet and honor those who founded OIWC, served on its Board of Directors, were responsible for funding, or volunteered for the organization over the last 10 years. Attendance is limited to 150 people, with approximately 35 honorees and the remaining open to OIWC members. The honorees include some of the best-known women in the industry, like Carolyn Cooke of Isis.

The luncheon, hosted from 12:00pm-1:00pm, will include an OIWC Board of Directors leader providing an overview of the history and future of OIWC. She will recognize each founder and honoree by name, and present her with a gift. Attendees will be given assigned seating, ensuring that industry newcomers are seated next to OIWC founders and board members. This will provide an opportunity for women new to the industry to meet and learn from an industry mentor.

After the lunch (from 1:00pm-2:00pm) OIWC founders, board members and industry icons will be available to mingle with young women to answer their questions about reaching their goals, whether they are specific to a segment of the industry, relate to life-work balance, etc.
