Oboz' new trail running shoes for 2011 -- the Lightning and the Flash -- are poised to fire up business for the new, Bozeman, Montana-based footwear company, now in just its third year on the market at retail.
The two new shoes feature Oboz' signature high quality footbed, and a completely new 'Bridger' midsole and outsole design that promotes a natural flex and feel through independently molded, multiple-density EVA components and protection shields. Underneath, the outsole—always made of Oboz' non-marking, high friction rubber—offers a low profile but aggressive and grippy lug configuration. A map of the Bridger mountain range is scribed into the outsole.
Comforting details in the Lightning and Flash include a two-layer collar, an EVA-cushioned lasting board, in addition to Oboz' supportive BFit or BFit Deluxe footbeds.
Oboz will also offer the Blaze, a synthetic and leather low cut, breathable trail shoe to its successful line of shoes and boots made for hiking and backpacking. A new waterproof/breathable entry for Fall '10 is the Gallatin, handsome for use in town but built to take some serious knocks outdoors with its all-leather design combining waxed and suede leathers.
Oboz will display its footwear in Booth BR403--just inside the Ballroom--during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market from August 3-6.
