Mountain Hardwear Jacket earns Outside Award

Mountain Hardwear has been honored as the recipient of an Outside Magazine 2009 Gear of the Year Award for the new Kramer Jacket, which features the company’s unique MicroClimate Zoning™ technology.

Mountain Hardwear Inc., a leading mountaineering and outdoor equipment and clothing company, has been honored as the recipient of an Outside Magazine 2009 Gear of the Year Award for the company's new Kramer Jacket, which features the company's unique MicroClimate Zoningâ„¢ technology. This is the third year in a row Mountain Hardwear has been awarded the prestigious Gear of the Year award. The award, in the Resort category, is given to products that exemplify performance, ingenuity and innovation.

After testing nearly 100 ski jackets, Outside Editor Doug Schnitzspahn declared “We found one that came pretty close (to perfect): the Gear of the Year-winning Mountain Hardwear Kramer.”

Part of the Snowear collection, the Kramer Jacket showcase's Mountain Hardwear's MicroClimate Zoning (MCZ) construction technology. MCZ combines various materials strategically placed to increase warmth, reduce the need for bulky mid-layers and breathe during high exertion activities.
