treadmills

CHICAGO – Jan. 11, 2007 – Life Fitness, the global leader in fitness equipment, was honored with a 2006 GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design for its T-Series treadmills, a premium line of seven models for the home that are both easy to use and aesthetically appealing.

“The GOOD DESIGN program is one of the most well-known in the area of modern design, and Life Fitness is very proud to be honored with such a prestigious award,” said Steven Ward, director of industrial design for Life Fitness. “We work tirelessly to craft products that deliver superior form and function. It's wonderful to know our hard work is being recognized.”

GOOD DESIGN annually recognizes achievements of the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic design work across the globe. This year, the Museum received hundreds of submissions – ranging from an airplane to a paper clip – from 25 countries. Products were selected for quality design of the highest form, function and aesthetic – a standard beyond ordinary consumer products and graphics.

The Life Fitness T-Series treadmills are featured, along with the rest of the award winners, on the Museum's Web site at http://www.chi-athenaeum.org and will be recognized during a formal event in 2007.
