OGDEN, UT— Klymit® an innovator in advanced outdoor gear technology, is pleased to announce the recognition of its founder and CEO Nate Alder as one of the 2011 40 Under 40 leaders in the sporting goods industry by SportsOneSource. Each year, SOS’s Sporting Goods Business magazine publishes a list of 40 of the best and brightest leaders in the sporting goods industry under the age of 40. Alder and the 39 other honorees will be featured in the May issue of the widely appreciated trade publication.
Alder has been the driving force behind Klymit’s revolutionary product technology, including the Inertia X Frame, the lightest, most packable camping pad in the industry and the line of Klymit Kinetic Vests, featuring argon gas-based NobleTek® insulation. NobleTek harnesses the power of noble gases to provide ultra-light, super warm and adjustable insulation.
A relative newcomer, Alder and his team at Klymit have been awarded a number of innovation and design awards from Popular Science Magazine, ISPO, Backpacker Magazine, Invented in Utah and many more
“I couldn’t be more humbled and honored to be included in the 40 Under 40 list. It’s honestly something I never expected,” says Alder. “I’m in such good company in our industry. There are so many young leaders; it’s an exciting time for all of us. And the best part is that this is really a team award. At Klymit, almost all employees are under 40 and I’m proud to share this with them.”
With more than 450 nominations from the sports and outdoor industry, the 2011 40 Under 40 were selected by a panel of SportsOneSource analysts, editors and industry executives. The award recipients will be honored at a weekend event in Chicago June 24-26, 2011.
