Jimmy Hopper, Sports Marketing Manager

Jimmy joins Mountain Hardwear and Montrail with over a decade of experience in the outdoor industry. His passion for outdoor sports led him to work previously at Teva, Keen and The North Face in several areas of the business including Sales, Marketing and Product. “We believe in the importance of working closely with our athletes and consumers to drive innovation into our products and creating uncompromising solutions to progress the potential of the sports we do and love,” said Joe Flannery, VP of Global Marketing for Mountain Hardwear and Montrail. “Jimmy's experience in leading integrated sports marketing programs across product, marketing, and sales will enable us to develop a unique and comprehensive sports marketing initiative that serves our world-class athletes and our two great brands.”

Laura Schaffer, Public Relations and Gives Back Program Manager

Laura comes to Mountain Hardwear and Montrail with a strong background in media relations and sustainability strategy, as well as a passion for playing outdoors. She filled nine years in Utah with time on the sales floor at REI, in the publications department of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and as the Public Relations Director at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort. Laura is relocating to Mountain Hardwear and Montrail from Ithaca, NY, where she received an MBA with a concentration in Sustainable Enterprise from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Business. As Public Relations Manager, Laura will work with members of the media to share the inspiring stories of Mountain Hardwear and Montrail athletes and the products they use. As the Gives Back Program Manager, Laura will head up efforts to align with organizations and initiatives that support the great outdoors that Mountain Hardwear and Montrail consumers enjoy so much.

Jimmy and Laura will be based in our Richmond, California headquarters and report directly to Joe Flannery.
