Mountain Hardwear/Montrail add new rep groups

Mountain Hardwear and Montrail announce the addition of three new sales teams including Pemba Serves in the Upper Central Territory, Kevin Brew Sales in the Mid Atlantic Territory and Tri-Marketing in the South Central Territory.

Mountain Hardwear Inc., a leader in mountaineering and outdoor equipment and clothing and Montrail Inc., a leading trail running and hiking footwear company, are pleased to announce the addition of three new sales teams to their joint U.S. sales rep force. Effective immediately the Upper Central Territory will be covered by Brad Werntz and the Pemba Serves group, the Mid Atlantic Territory by Kevin Brew Sales and the South Central Territory by Tri-Marketing agency which includes Greg Allen, Tim Goodwin and Ali Tajiran.



“All three of these rep groups, and the individuals involved, have successful histories in the outdoor and surrounding industries. We are excited to have these professionals on board and to have our US sales team complete as we head into the Spring 09 sales season. We look to grow our business with both brands in all three of these territories,” said Donna Williams, Mountain Hardwear and Montrail Eastern Region Sales Manager.



Pemba Serves is lead by Brad Werntz, who brings a variety of outdoor-oriented experiences including guiding, climbing, writing and ultra-trail running. He has also been a member of the Wyoming Centennial Everest Expedition and a founder of a climbing gym. Additional members of Pemba Serves include Bryan Kuhn, Janice Ellefson, Steve Schultz and Pete Witucki. Pemba Serves is based in Madison, Wisconsin and covers the states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan (upper peninsula), Missouri, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.



Kevin Brew Sales is based in Ithaca, New York and brings a twenty-five year history of service to the specialty sports industry in the outdoor, ski, snowboard, bike and action sports categories. The rep team also includes Jarrett Apple and RJ Turner as well as Cathy Chestnut, Office Manager, and Vicki Brew, Business Manager. The team is responsible for New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Washington DC, Delaware and Maryland will now be handled by Bill Chandler and the Nomad Group.



Greg Allen, a former Ironman triathlete; Tim Goodwin who held the world masters 200-meter track cycling record for four years; and Ali Tajiran who comes from a solid specialty outdoor background make up Tri-Marketing and will cover the South Central territory including Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The team has been the number one sales agency for Yakima products for the last two years and is based in Austin, Texas.
