Honey Stinger Announces 2010 Honey Stinger/Trek Mountain Bike Team Ros

Honey Stinger announces their formal roster for the 2010 mountain bike season.

04.26.2010 – Honey Stinger, the manufacturer of honey-based nutritional foods, announces its 2010 mountain bike team roster. In just its second year fielding a team, Honey Stinger is proud to have a diverse group of world-class professional and amateur mountain bike racers wearing its distinctive honey-combed jerseys.

“We're excited to kick off the race season here in the Rockies and we've got a strong team this season,” says Len Zanni, Honey Stinger marketing director and team captain. “We've grown the team and retained a core group of riders who also serve as great brand ambassadors. With riders competing in a variety of races—everything from shorter distance cross-country lung burners, to multi-day stage races and 24-hour events, we'll have a great presence in the territory and beyond.”

The 2010 team is once again captained by Zanni, who was the runner up at last year's Mountain States Cup race series and finished in first place at the Silver Rush 50 and fifth place at the Leadville 100. Sari Anderson, the 2008 national marathon XC mountain bike champion is also on the Honey Stinger team along with up-and-coming rider Colin Osborn, a member of the national U23 Cycling team, as well as 1996 Olympian and legendary road and mountain bike racer Tammy Jacques Grewal.
