Heliconia Partners with YouTube

Since being approached by YouTube to become a web broadcast partner, viewership of Heliconia's flagship WebTV series has increased by 500%, and is projected to be watched 1.5 million times in 2010.

The Heliconia Press, a leading TV producer and publisher of books and DVDs on outdoor pursuits, is thrilled to announce its partnership with YouTube in the distribution of its web video content.

In November, 2009, Heliconia was approached by Google/YouTube to become a web broadcast partner. As a partner, Heliconia takes part in discussions regarding developments and improvements to the YouTube environment, tests new YouTube features, and has access to exclusive YouTube development tools, video-on-demand (VOD) options, and online video rental options.

Since partnering with YouTube, viewership of Heliconia's flagship WebTV channel, Kayak Fishing Tales WebTV , has increased by 500%. Heliconia is expecting Kayak Fishing Tales to be watched over 1.5 million times in 2010 alone.
