Strongest, Quietest and Most Environmentally Sound Insulating Blankets

Petaluma, CA – Advanced Flexible Materials Inc. (AFM Inc.) the parent company of Heatsheets® and Silver Lining™ has received life saving Heatsheets® news from the high altitude field. (AFM Inc.) has also pledged to make more folks warmer this winter season with 500 donated blankets to a homeless advocacy group. In support of this group Heatsheets® is co-hosting a Sleep Out on February 5, 2010.

Heatsheets® do in fact save lives. AFM Inc was recently forwarded this letter from their business partner Adventure Medical Kit's, adventuremedicalkits.com stating that if it were not for the quality and durability of the Heatsheets® product, these two explorers: Paul Warman and Chris Tait, would not be here today.

Here is their grateful explanation of how Heatsheets® work:

“If it wasn't for your products (Heatsheets® - emergency bivvy) we would not be here today. Now please forgive me as I am not much of a writer, but if you would be willing to take the time to have a look at my story in video format you will see at just how much you guys saved our butts.. Long story short, myself and a friend were trapped on the top of bugaboo spire in a bad storm awaiting rescue for 56 hours, when pulled, we were hypothermic, out of food water and hope. The other silver e-blanked shredded by the wind. We spent the final 20 hrs on a super narrow ledge with your Heatsheets® blanket "bag" sliced to cover us both… it was probably about the most intense field test one could give to a product, high altitude, uv, windy as hell, snow/rain... etc., as I still have the tattered remains of the bag... it did the job where the others had failed miserably the first night. This thing kept going! (There was) probably a 20 deg temp difference, I am guessing it was just enough to keep us alive.”

Paul adds, “We had both yours and the silver “@#$$%&” (explicative word) ones... and it was the fact that when the silver ones shredded, it put one of our team members in a dire situation..

This December's blanket donation will directly aid the West Palm Beach, Florida homeless shelter, (www.thelordsplace.org) in covering this winter's increasing homeless. The shelter is non-sectarian. (Advanced Flexible Materials Inc. (AFM Inc.) is a non-denominational company serving those in various emergencies needs)

The planned SleepOut 2010 is a community-wide event to raise awareness and funds to end homelessness in Palm Beach County. This event is being held February 6, 2009 at The Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL. During the event we have many homeless individuals from the City of West Palm Beach. The blankets donated will be given to these homeless individuals the night of the event. They will not only be used the night of the event but will also be used to keep them warm for many nights to come.

Heatsheets® are different for those on the ridge and on the streets. While there are other insulating blankets on the market, they are noisy and tear easily. Heatsheets® blankets are constructed of aluminized polyethylene to make the products more tear resistant and quieter. Competing blankets are made of Mylar and polyester, both of which can rip easily and crinkle with noise. Heatsheets® products are conveniently packaged for individual use in outdoor, rescue, and emergencies: ideal for hikers, backpackers, hunters, anglers, skiers, snow boarders, or anyone who might be exposed to foul weather.
