Headsweats, makers of high-performance, ultra-light, supremely wicking hats and visors has long been outfitting athletes in quality headwear and enabling them to perform at their best. Headsweats has also spent their ten-plus years in business giving to charitable causes and assisting worthy organizations such as the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). Headsweats makes a difference to CAF athletes on a daily basis through their donations of thousands of CAF branded hats and support of the CAF Rose Fund, which provides assistance to worthy athletes who don't qualify for full CAF grants. In addition, Alan Romick, Headsweats founder, personally gives his time and leadership to further the goals of CAF.

CAF's goal is help individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports because participation in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, CAF has raised over $21 million, granted more than 4,000 funding requests from challenged athletes and reaches another 60,000 individuals annually through outreach efforts. CAF touches the lives of physically challenged athletes in all 50 states and dozens of countries worldwide.

“Alan Romick is one of my mentors, and a passionate supporter of CAF,” says Virginia Tinley, CAF Executive Director. “Not only has Alan been incredibly generous with product donations over the years, but he's helping with the development of our CAF on-line store.”

“We've staffed Headsweats with good people, we give back and do the right thing,” says Romick when asked about his dedication to CAF. “Using Headsweats on-line infrastructure and logistics for the CAF on-line store enables them to maximize their financial returns and help more athletes—how could we not do it?”

About Challenged Athletes Foundation
The Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) is a world leader in helping individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports. CAF believes that participation in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, more than $25 million has been raised and almost 4,500 funding requests from challenged athletes in all 50 states and dozens of countries have been satisfied. Additionally, CAF's outreach efforts reach another 60,000 individuals each year. Whether it's a $2,500 grant for a handcycle, helping underwrite a carbon fiber running foot not covered by insurance, or arranging enthusiastic encouragement from a mentor who has triumphed over a similar challenge, CAF's mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, athletic lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love.
