Dallas, TX (May 3, 2018) — The bold stripes, plaids and colors are highly recognizable, even when flying past you on the road or trail – and if the masses don’t already know boutique cycling apparel brand DannyShane, confidence is high they soon will, with a major new push in North America. To that effect, they’ve hired the industry veterans at Park City-based SIMBOL Communications to help build the buzz.
While the unique styles are renowned and unmistakable to many riders, it’s the technical stories behind DannyShane products that the brand primarily aims to spread to the masses: Their proprietary (and certified) Bamboo White Ash blend fabric that is the foundation of their jerseys and casual tops is singularly soft and comfortable, highly durable, and features natural wicking and odor-resistance properties. Plus with the rapid renewal capabilities of bamboo, it’s among the most sustainable sources of fabric available.
Believing that performance and style shouldn’t be mutually exclusive, they also offers high-end cycling shorts and bibs that do not feature bamboo, because it won’t work with the high level of stretch needed in shorts. They are proud to feature a Bluesign® approved fabric that is primarily (80%) comprised of 100% recycled nylon. Lycra makes up the remaining 20%.
DannyShane’s incredible quality, comfort and style, combined with our socially conscious ethos – using bamboo, 100% recycled fabrics, eco-conscious manufacturing and business protocols, etc, – makes the brand a no-brainer for a potentially substantial audience of riding enthusiasts. “Riders get the look and performance they demand and the socially responsible practices they want to support, without the sometimes prohibitive prices of some similar brands,” says Shane Hunt, the brand’s founder. “We’ve been around for a few years now, with some great success, but we feel our story will resonate with a far wider audience than we’ve been attracting so far, and we have no doubt the SIMBOL team will help us do just that, with their passion, decades of experience and huge network of industry relationships.”
Nic Sims and Scott Boulbol, who founded SIMBOL about a year ago, have decades of combined experience in the cycling world, and are well-placed and highly motivated to help push DannyShane more into the mainstream. “We’ve seen these designs around for a few years, and we’re alway thinking, ‘Wow that’s cool – what brand is that?’ Now we know, and we’re thrilled to be working with them,” says Boulbol. “We’re eager to start spreading the word to the cycling world that this is some amazing stuff, a really cool brand, and and outstanding sustainability story to boot. But we’re perhaps most excited to use all the products!”
Performance and style shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. At DannyShane, we’ve made it our mission to create cycling apparel that brings meaningful complements to the lives of our customers. Our lifestyle brand is retrospectively inspired, bold in design, and appealing to cyclists with all levels of experience. The DannyShane rider is a true original. He’s bold, he’s vibrant, and he isn’t afraid to take the lead or get noticed on the racecourse. We’ve kept this rider in mind when designing all of our latest lines of apparel, developing the highest-quality, most eco-friendly apparel company the cycling industry has ever seen.
