Combat Flip Flops, a veteran-owned small business making cool stuff in dangerous places, has been busy expanding production into Columbia, hiring a sales force from some of the US military’s most elite and adding a new model to its flip flop line.
PRODUCTION EXPANDED TO COLUMBIA
Staying true to its mission of supporting small business owners in conflict areas, Combat Flip Flops has established production in Bogota, Columbia. Working with a manufacturer known for producing high-end leather footwear, the 2014 line is completely sourced within 5 miles from cow to flip flop.
“When the first samples arrived, we were blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of the leather,” said Matt Griffin, CEO of Combat Flip Flops. “Because of our strong community of customers, we’re able to continue to support hard-working entrepreneurs in post-narco controlled areas like Columbia and empower the workers to build a sustainable future for themselves, their children, and their country.”
The Poseidon Blue, new for Spring, takes inspiration from the god of the sea with its navy deck and wave-ridden thong. Bursting with swarthy nautical style, the Poseidon Blue is seamlessly built for storming the decks or cruising the docks. As one customer put it, “These are the coolest flip flops I've ever had! Very impressed with the craftsmanship and level of comfort.”
SALES FORCE EXPANSION
Emphasizing the importance of supporting our veterans, Combat Flip Flops has hired two new sales reps to support and grow its retailer network. Jimmy Hatch, a 26 year US Navy veteran and SEAL for over 20 years, is servicing the Virginia, D.C. and Arizona territories. A photographer and speaker on post combat survivability and responsibility, Jimmy can be found spending time with his dogs and jumping out of planes in his free time (you may have seen him jumping with Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords). Jimmy can be contacted via firstname.lastname@example.org or 415.654.4563.
Brad Christian, a former US Army Special Forces and Green Beret, is managing North Carolina. Brad is the founder/CEO of Adventure Operations Group and Director of Operations for ACADEMI Special Projects Division. He focuses on offering high impact adventure and tactical training and is an avid outdoorsman. Brad can be reached at email@example.com or 757-472-5005.
