Yadkinville, N.C. - The outdoor industry will get an in-depth look at COLDPRUF® Base Layer's new ECO with Microban® line at this month's Outdoor Retailer Winter Market show. As the "Official Base Layer of Winter Market," the affordable new line boasts the company's signature true-to-size fit athletes love while utilizing performance polyester staple fibers produced from recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles.

Polyester staple fibers made their debut in the outdoor industry with the production of hard goods and casual apparel in the last decade. Recently, the technology was further developed into the production of performance apparel, including base layers.

"While the concept of recycling one man's trash into another man's outdoor recreation treasure is hardly a revolutionary concept, we're the first company to provide this caliber of sustainable performance base layer apparel at a competitive price point," said John Willingham, president of Indera Mills, COLDPRUF parent company. "Environmentally conscious products and accessibility to our customer is our ongoing commitment."

Introduced at the Winter Market show will be the Men's ECO-TERRA top and bottom and a Men's and Women's PRO-TEK top and bottom.

The Men's ECO-TERRA base layer is intended for medium-to-high activity, in very cold-to-extreme cold weather. Features include:

*70/30 percent blend of recycled performance polyester and Merino wool

*Microban antimicrobial protection

*Eight ounce single layer Raschel knit

*Front and back rise, gussets, extended tail, rib cuffs and flat seams

*True-to-size fit *MSRP: $30

The Men's and Women's PRO-TEK base layer is intended for medium-to-high activity, in cold-to-very cold weather. Features include:

*100 percent recycled performance polyester

*Microban antimicrobial protection

*Six ounce single layer mini-waffle

*Front and back rise, gussets, extended tail, rib cuffs and flat seams

*True-to-size fit

*MSRP: $25

The COLDPRUF ECO line is possible through a partnership with DAK AMERICAS, the provider responsible for recycling and processing used PET bottles into polyester staple fibers. The resulting performance polyester and polyester blend fabrics deliver exceptional comfort, performance and durability at a competitive price point.

The COLDPRUF ECO line will be available to consumers through independent outdoor retailers beginning August 2012.

COLDPRUF ECO product packaging materials are made from Biome Bioplastics resin, which are ASTM D6400 certified as compostable, further reducing the product's environmental impact.

COLDPRUF is always seeking to expand distribution. For distributor and retailer inquiries, visit us at Outdoor Retailer booth #34137 or Peggy Denomme at 800.334.8605 x 600 and at pdenomme@coldpruf.com.
