FREMONT, CALIF. (May 19, 2010) – Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment, a manufacturer of high-quality backcountry and mountaineering equipment, has recently expanded its sales force and hired TBD Sales in the Rocky Mountain region, and Mountain Lake Marketing to cover the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Starting immediately, Tim DeYoung at TBD Sales will represent Brooks-Range in Colo., N.M., Utah and Wyo. As an avid skier, mountain biker, trekker and explorer, he brings his passion and first hand knowledge of the outdoors in representing all his lines. He has over 30 years of experience in the outdoor/ski industry. “Brooks-Range is an excellent fit with the other lines I represent,” said DeYoung. “I see professional guide gear filling a growing need for the outdoor enthusiast. When venturing into the wild it is imperative people know how to read maps, understand avalanche conditions and be prepared for any eventuality.”

Mike “Kaz” Kazmierczak and his team at Mountain Lake Marketing will represent Brooks-Range in N.Y., Vt., ME, N.H., N.Y., N.J., Pa., Md., Del. and Va. Kaz has been in the outdoor industry for more than 13 years and enjoys ski touring, mountaineering, mountain biking, fly fishing and alpine climbing. “Brooks-Range Mountaineering is a natural fit for our agency,” said Kaz. “We believe in aligning ourselves with the finest brands in the mountain sports world, so Brooks-Range was an obvious choice for us."

“Brooks-Range has seen significant growth with online sales, but we need to increase our in-store presence in order to continue that growth and broaden our consumer awareness,” said Matt Brooks, president of Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment. “These highly qualified and knowledgeable sales reps will do just that and help propel Brooks-Range to the next level of growth.”

In the coming weeks, Brooks-Range will continue to add more outside sales representatives, further increasing their high level of customer service that both retailers and consumers have come to expect.
