Portland, OR (May 8, 2019) — Born in South Korea, with a premium line headquartered and designed in Europe, BLACKYAK is delivering its award-winning global collection to the North American market in 2019. Correspondingly, the rapidly growing company today announced it has retained Jackson Hole-based communications agency, Denny, ink. to represent the brand in the United States and Canada.

Effective immediately, Denny, ink. will oversee all public relations initiatives in North America for BLACKYAK including media relations, strategic communications counsel and targeted community marketing for the company’s groundbreaking outerwear collection. Denny, ink. will work in tandem with BLACKYAK North American headquarters located in Portland, OR.

“Denny, ink. is a great match for BLACKYAK,” said Maximilian Nortz, Managing Director of International Business. “After a thorough review of agencies large and small, we feel Denny, ink’s knowledge of the market, their creative approach and their passion for self-propelled mountain missions will help us move into the critical next phase of our brand. We’re confident their long-time experience helping brands connect with media, consumers and specialty retail partners will allow us to maximize the awareness of BLACKYAK today and into the future.”

With design philosophies that are decidedly forward-thinking, BLACKYAK continues to bring its full global collection into the North American market for 2019 and beyond. To date, BLACKYAK has earned 24 ISPO awards, more than any other brand in the marketplace. The brand is available at limited, premium stockists across Canada and the US and does not sell direct to consumer.

“BLACKYAK’s visionary design and undeniable performance have made it a coveted brand in the rest of the world,” said Chris Denny. “We’re honored to tell the BLACKYAK entrepreneurial story of creating innovative, high-quality products for outdoor consumers and ultimately expand the awareness of their industry-changing products to an entirely new audience here in North America.”
