Bozeman, MT (November 30, 2011) – Join the 2011 Arc'teryx Bozeman Ice Festival and the American Alpine Club for a captivating morning of slides, music, movie clips, story telling, and silent auction to benefit Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia on Sunday, November 11, and thus help us to complete the inspirational movie of Jeff's life story: a true tale of love, survival, a pathological optimist, and his indomitable spirit.

Jeff Lowe’s Metanoiaexplores extraordinary alpine accomplishments, from mountaintop to wheelchair.Starting out as one of the world's youngest alpinists, Jeff Lowe has amassed a lifetime of impressive alpine accomplishments and contributions to the climbing world. He now faces the challenge of life in a wheelchair with the same characteristics and philosophies that won him unprecedented success on the world’s most impressive rock walls and in the great mountain ranges of the world.

Come to the Baxter Hotel Ballroom at 105 West Main, downtown Bozemanon Sunday morning at 10a.m. for a very special morning with legendary alpinist, Jeff Lowe. Jeff will share rarely seen slides of his solo first ascent of Metanoia on the North Face of the Eiger. Then witness beautiful new helicopter footage of Josh Wharton on the notorious face as he repeats sections of Lowe’s 1991 “unimaginable” winter ascent.

See Josh Wharton chopping Jeff’s pack from its icy tomb high up on the Eiger Nordwand and watch Jeff open the pack for the first time after 20 years.

See the contents of the pack in a display at the breakfast… still looking good after all these years!

The silent auction includes a 1978 Sports Illustrated Magazine with Jeff Lowe on the cover – autographed by Jeff, Asolo Base Camp GV Boots(a $975 value), Lowe Alpine Packs, Camelbak Hydration Packs, an Excalibur Syncro Harness, The North Face gear and more.

Enjoy a fabulous authentic Mexican breakfast catered by Bozeman’s La Tinga. Don’t miss this rare opportunity with Jeff Lowe in person and support his latest big adventure.

Doors open at 9:00 am for the exciting silent auction; breakfast is at 10:00 and program begins at 11:00 am. Tickets to the event may be purchased for $25 at the door or during the evening events at the Bozeman Ice Climbing Festival at the Emerson Cultural Center, 111 South Grand, December 7-10, 2011.
