The person in the cubicle next to yours, in the office down the hall, or standing next to you at the retail counter could have an inspiring, fascinating or oh-wow story to tell. People in the outdoor and fitness industries are doing extraordinary things when they clock out from work, whether it’s feeding the homeless, teaching kids how to up their self-esteem, defending the environment, or changing their lives through sports endeavors.

The new SNEWS® column Outside the Cubicle wants to open a window on the lives “outside the cubicle” of those in our industry. We want to captures these stories. And we want to know whether you or a co-worker should be featured. Anybody is eligible, from board room to warehouse. Why? Because we do not live to work.
