BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – Feb. 2, 2010 – The extremely popular Octane Fitness (www.octanefitness.com) Q37e elliptical cross trainer won great recognition in a February 2010 review of 19 elliptical machines by a leading consumer publication.
“Naturally, we are thrilled to receive another favorable review,” said Tim Porth, executive vice president of product development and marketing at Octane Fitness. “This ongoing recognition of our innovation and quality helps consumers make smart purchases and definitely motivates our team.”
Best-Selling Machine Scores High
In the categories of construction, heart-rate monitor and user safety, Octane was awarded the top rating of excellent. The magazine defines “construction” as “perception of operating noise, feel, ride and stability,” and “heart-rate monitor” as “heart-rate sensors, programs, and how heart rate controls elliptical operation.” For “user safety,” considerations include the “stability of the machine, pedal geometry and pedal materials.”
Also recognized as very good were Octane ergonomics, or “how well the machine accommodates people of various sizes,” exercise range, which “measures effort required to propel a machine through its resistance-level settings,” and ease of use, reviewing “how easy it is to adjust exercise levels, use programs and read the console.”
Octane's MOM Mode feature also was highlighted as a valuable safety control. When MOM Mode is activated, the console buttons are disabled and movement of the pedals and handlebars is disengaged to prevent children from sustaining injuries.
Other features on the Q37e include Octane's signature Converging Path handlebars, which replicate the natural path of the upper body; MultiGrip handlebars, which facilitate various ergonomically correct positions and greater comfort; and Octane's trademark workout boosters – X-Mode, GluteKicker and ArmBlaster – that deliver variety and ultra-cross training for maximum effectiveness.
Availability and New Models
The Q37e is available at specialty fitness retailers nationwide for a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,999.
In fact, Octane Fitness is currently debuting the new Q37c and Q37ci, which are equipped with similar features as the Q37e, but also loaded with exciting innovations and enhancements, such as the unique Cross Circuit+ program, which combines cardio intervals on the machine with resistance training off the machine for exceptionally efficient workouts. Additional goal-based routines, such as 350 calories and ½ marathon, along with heart-rate contact grips, help optimize results as well.
