How Do You TRUBLUE? Video Contest Puts $500 in Climbing Gear Up for Grabs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Boulder, CO – May 15, 2012 – TRUBLUE, makers of the most popular auto belay device, is offering climbers a chance to win $500 in climbing gear – just as the summer climbing season gets into full swing. Today TRUBLUE announced the “How Do You TRUBLUE?” Video contest, asking users to creatively demonstrate how and why they use the auto belay. From hardcore gym climbers training for the next level, to cross fit fanatics and families, TRUBLUE auto belays are making climbing more accessible at hundreds of locations nationwide. Now TRUBLUE is asking users to share their experience for a chance to win.

How to Enter
Participants will be automatically entered into the contest by uploading a video depicting the theme “How Do You TRUBLUE?” at http://www.autobelay.com/how-do-you-TRUBLUE. The public will be asked to vote on the best video, with criteria based on creativity and best demonstration of the auto belay in action. A panel will then judge finalists from the public vote, and 11 winners will be chosen to partake in the following prizes:

- Grand Prize: $500 in climbing gear from the Eldorado Climbing Walls store, featuring ropes, harnesses, climbing shoes, and more from CAMP, Evolv, Franklin Holds, Petzl, Sterling, Trango, and more http://store.eldowalls.com
- First Prize: 10 first prize winners will receive $50 in climbing gear from the Eldorado Climbing Walls store

Video submissions for the contest will be accepted from May 15th through June 11th, 2012, with public voting taking place during the same timeframe. The winners will be announced on June 25th.

Interested participants can view the promotional video for the contest, as well as demo videos of how others TRUBLUE, at: http://www.autobelay.com/how-do-you-TRUBLUE

“We're excited to see the creativity expressed in these videos from our TRUBLUE users,” said Candie Fisher, Marketing Director for Eldorado Climbing Walls and TRUBLUE Auto Belay. “We hear a lot of stories from different people about how they use TRUBLUE, from first time climbers just getting a feel for the movement of climbing, to more experienced climbers training for an upcoming trip or project. We've even seen uses outside of climbing, like a ‘leap of faith' from a high platform and in perhaps the least extreme case, someone using their TRUBLUE to walk their dog – so the use of humor might score extra points, too.”
