Kokopelli Packraft was founded out of a garage in Denver, Colorado, on the single principle of innovation. Our vision is to create the opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to explore nature in its most serene settings. We set out to accomplish this by developing a line of high-quality packrafts–through extensive research and development, and by listening to our customers wants and needs.
This year, we're launching a brand new one of a kind packraft: the Recon. Made out of reinforced PVC, this boat stands out in the packrafting category. While heavier than the traditional packraft, paddlers gain additional stability and durability to tackle rowdier water.
Engineered from the toughest and most bomber material, the Recon is perfect for road-to-river whitewater and after-work laps. With the exact same shape as the Nirvana series packrafts, the Recon is self-bailing, weighs in at 18 pounds (8.2 kg) and is constructed of a heavier duty PVC. Featuring 210 Diamond-Ripstop Nylon full length inflatable floor, a Leafield D7 valve, and thigh-strap attachment points, the Recon is built for whitewater performance and takes shredding to a whole new level. Now available with TiZip so you can store your cargo in the boat.
We're pretty stoked on the new Recon packraft. But we don't want you to take our word on this totally bomber boat. Our testers are saying the Recon is their “go-to boat for larger water” and “takes the best qualities of a packraft and an inflatable kayak and combines them into one boat.” If you want a tough yet nimble boat that packs small (16 inches by 12 inces) and doesn’t need babying, the Recon is for you.
