San Diego, CA (January 23, 2013)ElliptiGO Inc., creators of the world’s fastest elliptical cycles, today announced that a panel of 14 testers from Consumer Reports rated ElliptiGO® as the top elliptical cycle on the market. In the first head-to-head product comparison for this new industry, the panel declared that the ElliptiGO 3C was their preferred elliptical cycle over the StreetStrider® Sprinter 3r because the ElliptiGO 3C is“easier to ride, turn and climb.” They also appreciated that the ElliptiGO 3C accommodated all of the testers comfortably, while “taller riders occasionally hit their knees” while riding the Sprinter 3r.

Additionally, when comparing elliptical cycles with conventional bicycles, the Consumer Reports testers concluded that “elliptical cycles seem to offer a more intense workout than cycling.” A study conducted by researchers at the University of California San Diego’s Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center in 2011 confirms that riding the ElliptiGO requires, on average, 33% more effort than cycling at the same speed.

“We’re excited that Consumer Reports has recognized this new category of fitness equipment and this emerging industry,” stated Bryan Pate, Co-Founder and Co-President of ElliptiGO. “Our aim is to provide a high-quality, high-performance experience for our customers and it’s great to see that the panel has recognized ElliptiGO as the industry leader.”

These results can be found in the February 2013 edition of Consumer Reports. For more information about ElliptiGO and its products, visit www.elliptigo.com or follow them on Twitter @elliptigo and Facebook at www.facebook.com/elliptigo.
