Emeryville, Calif. (June 9, 2020) - Title Nine, the original and the largest, woman-owned independent specialty retailer in North America, today launches a innovative summer capsule collection built specifically to redefine and modernize versatile wear. The Round Trip Collection emphasizes modern styling with technical and sustainable fabrics, offers silhouettes fit for every body type, and reinvents adventure-ready apparel with four pieces - a dress, a jumpsuit, a tank and a pant - that provide over 40 outfit combinations.

“With each piece in the Round Trip Collection, we focused on the whole scope of women’s lives,” says Title Nine designer Anna Medina. “There was a great deal of dialogue and intention behind even the smallest details to ensure we were creating a collection that could keep up with women’s movements. We may not be able to travel to far-flung places right now, but the genius of the Round Trip Collection is its versatility in functionality, and the pieces perform beautifully for travel as they do everyday life.”

The inspiration behind the small, yet impactful collection were the principles of functionality, style, and sustainability. The four-woman design team began with rethinking the concept of pockets, allowing women to not only have hands-free capability, but also to change the look and purpose of the garment, creating more options out of less.

“As busy women who don’t want to compromise on style or function ourselves, creating the Round Trip Collection was a real labor of love,” says Title Nine Design Director Carey Mullett. “Pockets can often turn a beautiful garment into a truly functional one. We wanted to level up this adventure-ready line by building the pockets first, to keep freedom and functionality at the forefront while also elevating performance and style.”

Each item in the Round Trip Collection is constructed with Title Nine’s proprietary and sustainable Nimblene® fabric. Made of recycled poly, the stretchy, wrinkle-resistant, lightweight textile makes for excellent travel, adventure, and all-day wear with naturally amphibious and quick-dry properties. Nimblene® also boasts UPF 50 and the collection offers sleek aesthetics with laser-cut clean lines and bonded seams.

The Round Trip Sleeveless Jumpsuit and Round Trip Dress highlight the collection in terms of innovative elements that enhance versatility and increase outfit possibilities. The flattering jumpsuit piece can be worn two-ways - front-to-back - and includes optional wide-legged styling. Cinchable ankles allow for quick transformation to narrow-legged pants, ideal for bicycling or adventuring. The Round Trip pants include this stealth waist-cinching mechanism as well.

The Round Trip Dress is also reversible and includes a similar secret cinch, located at the side seams to shorten the dress length. Deep pockets double as a waist belt when pulled out, able to be worn tied in the front or in back.
