SylvanSport is pleased to announce the three finalists of the “Coolest. Camper. Ever. Adventure” contest. Aaron Smith, Gregory Heil and Meghan Wolfgram were chosen from over 2,000 applicants and will have access to a SylvanSport GO camper for three months each. Each winner will document their experience with the GO through videos, photos and blog entries.
“We were delighted by the range of creative ideas we saw from the applicants,” says Kyle Mundt, SylvanSport director of marketing. “The winners have exciting adventures planned and we hope that they are able to inspire a broader community to pursue their dreams.”
Aaron Smith, 42, of Burnsville, N.C. was chosen because of his love for river boarding, a unique sport that is akin to boogie boarding through river rapids. He plans to snake his way through Colorado, California and West Virginia, exploring whitewater runs such as Gore Canyon, Clear Creek Canyon, the Kern River, and the New and Gauley Rivers.
Gregory Heil, 23, is an avid mountain biker and blogger. Departing from Dahlonega, Ga., where he is currently a senior in college, he will use the GO to explore the western United States in search of not only the best singletrack bike trails, but a place to call home with his wife Summer. Gregory is the social media coordinator at singletracks.com and tripleblaze.com.
Meghan Wolfgram, 22, is the owner of Swift Paws Lure Coursing Equipment and her passion is training dogs. A recent graduate of DePauw University, Meghan will use the GO to visit 10 cities to raise awareness about lure coursing and to encourage a healthy lifestyle for both pet and pet owner. Along the way, she plans to visit dog shelters to help spread the word about adoption and the importance of responsible pet ownership.
One of the three winners will be chosen to win the grand prize based on the success of their adventure as well as their ability to document and publicize their journey. The grand prize includes full ownership of a SylvanSport GO and a grand gear prize from Yakima, Black Diamond, Jackson Kayak, Wenger, SPOT, Keen, Kelty, and Grand Trunk Goods ($10,300 value).
