Steamboat Springs, Colorado-Montreal, Canada-December 15, 2006 --. SKI TOPS Inc., distributor of Chaos Headwear and Moon Shadow, report 22% growth in sales for their 3rd quarter report. This jump in growth is widely attributed to three main factors. First, 2006 saw the re-design and intensive development of the CTR-Chaos Thermal Regulation, technical head wear division. Next, the Chaos World Beat collection has gained greater exposure and reputation through its events and promotions, this has opened new doors and partners, as well the US Sales Force has expanded and focused more decisively in core-specialty and unique co-branding opportunities.

The CTR division is highly technical and guaranteed to be the most comfortable fit for extreme weather conditions. This division is made up of 5 categories. Each category highlights reputable cold weather management fabrics. For example, of the five system categories: Mistral, Chinook, Howler, Adrenaline, and Stealth each have specific usage in mind, like the Power Stretch®- Mistral Scully is for high performance wicking, and intense cross training. Then the Howler Balaclava made of cozy Windblock Act® and soft Lycra® binding around the face, is best for thermal warmth and wind protection. The other categories include: Classic Micro Fleece 100®-“Chinook” in 6 styles, the Power Stretch®- “Mistral” in 7 styles, the Thermolite®- “Adrenaline” in 7 styles and the Windblock Act®-“Howler” in 5 styles and the Outlast®-“Stealth” collection in 7 styles.

These systems provide unmatched comfort, fit and function, with tight in store POP presence and competitive margins to please. “Much of this year's success can be attributed to this year's concentrated effort on develop and sales in this division,” notes Dominic Chenelia- West Coast Marketing and Sales Director.

Next, the Chaos World Beat Collection, continues to deepen and grow retail accounts nationwide. This diverse and rich collection of head-wear and beanies from around the world continues to impress retail. This year we have added more programs and events to support brand development and drive demand. We have grown partnerships and expanded in West to East coast events in freeskiing, snowboarding and athlete sponsorships.

Newly added in 2006/2007: The USDSSA Deaf Olympics in Salt Lake City, Snowboarding for Breast Cancer in Stowe, Vermont, the Teton Gravity Research-TGR film tour and the Vail Valley Foundation with the Birds of Prey, Honda Session and the American Master's Cup. CHAOS will continue to sponsor the following events: USASA-United States of America Snowboard Association, SOS-Snowboard Outreach Society, Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge, events, Snowblind -The Movie, Windell's Snow Camp, POWDER 8-New England Championships, the Cold Smoke Film Awards, Steamboat Tele-Fest and the ever hip-funk band, Eight Track Mind.

Without the united efforts of our sales team none of the above would be possible. We have coast to coast representation and team synergy. This fall we added to our west coast sales group Frank Desti, Frank comes from Mountain High Sock Company. He has over 15 years experience in the snow and outdoor specialty industries, working as both a sales manager and a sales representative. Frank will continue to focus on deepening our specialty accounts and co-brand programs.
New sales also come from new partners, recently signed is our new partnership with Nickelodeon for a three year co-brand ski program. The Chaos gang is honored to have been selected to team with the number-one entertainment brand for kids to release an exclusive line of ski hats for sale at American Skiing Company (ASC) resorts nationwide. The new line of kids skiwear will feature two of the most popular Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. children's characters, Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants in embroidered poses alongside the Chaos label.

What does this mean for new markets? It means additional distribution in markets started in long ago. In fact, Dogree Fashions, the parent company to SKITOP'S, first opened their doors in 1951 with the popularity of the Daniel Boone, “Racoon” hat for kids. “Kids and women's fashion is our heritage,” adds David Tock, Vice President in charge of design and production for Ski Tops Corporation, “With partners like Nickelodeon, Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants, retailers will be excited to see how these new products connect with kids and parents. We look forward to this dynamic program enlivening our children's collection, and the retail relationships that follow,” said Tock.
