SEATTLE, Wash. (July 17, 2012) – Outdoor Research’s new Endurance Gaiters, a new lightweight softshell gaiter for tacking rugged terrain in lighter weight shoes and boots, this past week won an OutDoor Industry Award at the 2012 European OutDoor trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
The OutDoor Industry Awards are given to the most innovative new products at the trade show, as judged by an independent, international jury.
This year, 48 awards were given, whittled from a field of 322 products submitted from 25 countries. Products were judged for their innovation, design quality, materials and functionality.
The soft-shell Endurance Gaiters employ an innovative step-in, zip-up design that’s extremely easy to get on and off. The lower-cut, technical design is lightweight, low profile, very breathable, yet extremely protective. They fit a wide array of lighter-weight footwear. The rugged soft-shell fabric offers stretch and breathability for moving fast in the mountains, and a redundant Velcro closure, cordlock cinch on the top, and double front hook attachments keep trail debris and snow at bay. They retail for $69 U.S.
In North America, Outdoor Research will debut the Endurance Gaiters, which are new for Spring 2013, at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market trade show in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aug. 2-5.
The OutDoor Industry Awards are organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH.
