KEEN, Inc. (KEEN) announces the opening of its KEEN KidsCare Center at its Portland headquarters as an added employee benefit to new parents and families.
“Child care and work-family balance are common challenges for many new or growing families. And the absence of affordable, high-quality care continues to be especially burdensome,” says says Tyler LaMotte, chief marketing officer at KEEN. “We believe that creating an office environment where family and work are not mutually exclusive helps our employees adjust to raising their family.”
With the new KEEN KidsCare Center, employees and their families will benefit from nearby, easily accessible, high-quality care and parenting resources from trained professionals in a safe environment. On-site infant care will allow parents to commute to work with their infants, spend lunch and breaks together, check in on them during the day and leave with them at night, thus minimizing their time spent apart.
“When I found out KEEN was opening a day care onsite, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders,” says Rachel Clouser, senior web merchandiser at KEEN. “I didn’t have to spend hours researching other options or interviewing strangers to see if their child-care philosophy aligned with mine. I knew that by having my daughter enroll in the KEEN KidsCare Center she would receive high-quality care and a program tailored to helping her learn and develop new skills.”
“The care provided for my one-year-old son is stellar. The facilities allow for him to explore, exercise and learn. The staff are warm, patient and nurturing. I’ve even learned a few techniques from them that make my time with my son smoother,” says Steve Wages, retention marketing manager at KEEN.
The KEEN KidsCare Center focusses on delivering specialized care for up to 16 children ages 36 months and younger with state-of-the-art facilities comprised of custom-made furniture, high-quality products, non-toxic materials and cloth diapering.
