Jarden Corporation has named Sam A. Solomon as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Coleman Company, Inc. Coleman is headquartered in Wichita, Kan., and is a unit of Jarden Outdoor Solutions Division. Solomon has been serving as interim President and CEO since September 2007.

Solomon is a seasoned executive with more than 23 years' experience in finance, brand management and general business administration at global multi-national companies such as The Coca-Cola Company; Kidde, PLC; SPX Corporation; The Proctor and Gamble Company; and most recently, at Coleman.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Rider College, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Zeta Honor Society. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and is a licensed CPA.
Solomon joined The Coleman Company, Inc., as Vice President Administration and Chief Financial Officer in May 2005; and was promoted to Senior Vice President Global Administration and CFO in November 2006. He was named interim CEO at Coleman on Sept. 14, 2007.
