Two Harbors, MN – Effective October 15, 2012 Granite Gear has doubled their order fulfillment space by leasing a new 7200 sq. ft. distribution center near their northwoods Minnesota headquarters.
Granite Gear has experienced a strong growth in tactical and consumer outdoor gear manufacturing over the years. The added space is part of a strategic initiative to expand their premium outdoor product sales and to facilitate the growing demand for US made tactical products.
North American shipping operations will be moved to the distribution center. Granite Gear's shipping and receiving manager Lennon Hanson says, “This move will allow us to maintain our excellent fulfillment turnaround time as our business levels grow.” The space formerly dedicated to warehousing will be utilized for additional storage of raw materials and in-house production.
Jeff Knight, Granite Gear CEO, commented, “This move will result in increased operational efficiencies not just for shipping, but for production and research and development.”

Granite Gear has been bringing innovative products to the outdoor marketplace for 26 years. Their award winning backpacks, extensive variety of storage sacks, lifestyle accessories, dog products and canoe gear offer excellence in design and construction. Located in Northern Minnesota, just minutes from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Superior Hiking Trail, we have a rugged and beautiful testing ground for our products.
