San Diego, CA – Footbalance, an innovator in custom footbed technology, is pleased to make a donation to the non-profit Soles4Souls after a successful Sell Your Soles campaign at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market and the SIA Snow Show in January. Retailers at the two trade shows were invited to donate their old footbeds in exchange for a new pair of Footbalance custom-molded footbeds. For each footbed turned in, Footbalance pledged to donate $1 to Soles4Souls.
Molding a total of 265 pairs of footbeds during the course of the two tradeshows, Footbalance is making a donation of $530 to the Nashville-based non-profit collecting shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and individuals for distribution to people in need regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Soles4Souls also accept donations for the “$1 equals 1 pair†program where individuals and businesses can donate any amount to outfit someone with a pair of shoes to protect from disease and help children attend school.
“We even had people putting cash into the footbed recycle bin,†says Matt Kaplan, President and Managing Director of Footbalance North America. “Retailers were pleased to be testing out the new Footbalance footbeds and supporting a good cause at the same time. Our success at OR and SIA was evident by the overflowing bin of old footbeds. It will be nice to turn that success into a tangible donation to those in need.â€
