Big Agnes Supports Growth with Staff & Warehouse Expansions

Big Agnes® Inc., maker of innovative sleeping bags, pads and tents, recently announced several staff and warehouse expansion steps aimed at addressing the company's growing sales and distribution. Key staff changes and additions include the promotion of Rose Alford as Dealer Services Manager. The company has also expanded its warehouse and office space to meet the needs of its retailers and staff.

“Rose's strong relationship with our clients, knowledge of the industry and hard work ethic, all contributed to making this a very simple decision,” says Big Agnes co-founder, Bill Gamber. “With this promotion, we're thrilled to have Rose as our in-house lead with our existing dealership base as well as the point person for all new accounts.”

Kellie Nelson moves from a position in warranty/customer service to Dealer Services Representative for the Southeast, Northeast and Midwest territories. To help facilitate the company's growing international business, longtime North American Dealer Services Representative Tanya Whitehead expands her role to include International Dealer Services. Also joining the Dealer Services team, in a new position, is Anna Hall, who will provide support for both pro and retail sales categories.

New hires in other departments include Rob Peterson and Sarah Uhl. Peterson, who formerly managed Boa Technology's sponsored ambassador program, joins the Customer Services team. Uhl, who formerly managed in-house events and wholesale relations at New Belgium Brewing, will join the Marketing team in the newly created role of Marketing Coordinator.

Additionally, Big Agnes completed the purchase of new warehouse space in Steamboat Springs. With the expansion, Big Agnes will shorten supply chain lead times and improve product availability for customers by increasing stock levels of key products and more efficiently meeting sales demands.

“We are investing in the people and processes to drive our business forward and achieve our key strategic goals,” comments Gamber. “As a result, we have expanded our office space and nearly doubled our warehouse space to accommodate recent double-digit growth. Our success over the last few years has added to the dynamic atmosphere here at Big Agnes.”
