With spring comes the annual start to our opinion-gathering from retailers for the annual SNEWS® Fitness Retailer Survey -- our ninth annual. We always look for dozens and dozens of respondents to make the survey’s results as viable as possible. And we know the industry’s suppliers count on the same thing. Take a few minutes to respond now before you forget!
Your opinion as a retailer is vital -- whether you have one store or a dozen or more, have been around one year or several decades, and no matter what brands you carry -- and it’s easy to get your voice heard: Just click here or cut-and-paste this URL into your browser (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FitRetailSurvey2011 ). You’ll be taken directly to the survey.
Results are due by June 13, so we can tally them and write up the outcome in a series of late summer stories leading up to the Health & Fitness Business Show in September.
This year, we’ve deleted a few questions and required fewer responses to others to tighten it up a bit, so no fear. And, of course, you can take a break at any time from the survey and then go back since a computer “cookie” will take you back to where you left off (if you allow them on your computer).
For your time. you’ll have helped the industry grow with knowledge about what you as the vital link in the chain thinks. And of course you’ll get the usual great discount on a one-year All Access SNEWS subscription (one per store) or a renewal. One discount per business/company and valid for surveys fully completed by the deadline of June 13.
VERY IMPORTANT: One survey response per business. If you have more than one store, please have one buyer or manager take responsibility for answering for your entire group. If you are not the person who normally does this, please check before you just dive in.
Other good stuff to know:
>> Each question with an asterisk (*) needs a response so we can better track annual changes (and so you can get your subscription discount).
>> Most of the questions need only a couple of words or names filled in or something checked. The system won't let you go to the next page unless you've put some mark in the number of boxes required.
>> For the last question, please take the time to share your wisdom by writing in your thoughts and comments of any length.
>> Individual responses will ALWAYS be confidential; we will NEVER share which stores took part or what each said.
Remember, we need completed survey responses by June 13 -- otherwise we may pester you. And we can be such nags.
