Here at SNEWS, we love waking at the crack of dawn, downing a cup of coffee or two, and piling into the car to head out for a day on the slopes. This morning ritual is a deeply personal process. Everyone seems to have their own little tricks and methods for getting up, getting out, and getting onto the snow as quickly as possible.

The various tools people use to haul skis and snowboards to the mountains are part of the equation. Some carry their equipment on an open-air roof rack, others prefer a closed roof box. Some, short on time or patience, simply toss their skis or snowboard in the back of the car and hit the road.
