The Outdoor Industry Association and ispo management have approved a deal that will get OIA members a great benefit, albeit approved basically too late for this year's summer ispo in Munich, Germany, which runs through Aug. 6. OIA members will get two ispo cards per member company at no cost. The cards, which normally cost 77 Euros each (USD $76), bring with them all kinds of discounts, freebies (metro transit during the show) and easier access to the show (a dedicated turnstile). "To us, OIA members are VIP folks," Dieter Tremp, ispo's representative in the United States, told SNEWS®. Each OIA member company will receive in the mail two cards with its company name and the OIA logo, which would also be available at ispo to any OIA member who simply walks up to the ispo card booth and shows his or her OIA membership card and business card. In exchange, OIA will give ispo card members from Europe the regular OIA membership discount on any of its research.
