| Petzl Tikka Plus headlamp
Oct 26, 2009 When Petzl's original Tikka hit the market nearly 10 years ago, the LED headlamp helped revolutionize the lighting market. Petzl is hoping to cause a stir again, revamping most of the designs in the Tikka headlamp series. We tested the new Tikka Plus headlamp to see how it compared to its original brethren. | Coleman LED Quad Lantern
Jun 22, 2009 Pardon the pun, but Coleman's LED Quad Lantern presents one of the brightest ideas we've seen when it comes to lighting. It's unique because the body of the lantern has four detachable panels, each of which has six 5 mm, white LED lights. We tested the lantern during several car-camping trips and found that it was really handy when we had several people sharing a campsite. | Princeton Tec Switchback 2
May 27, 2008 Light manufacturer Princeton Tec is well known in the outdoor industry but has not yet been a big player in the bike category. However, if it continues to create performance lights with the smart details featured in its Switchback series, that may soon change. The series consists of three lights (each one 3 watts): the Switchback 1, featuring one Maxlight LED; the Switchback 2 with two LEDs; and the Switchback 3, with three LEDs. For this test, we used the middle-of-the-line Switchback 2. Read Story | Comment on this story | Go to all Lights and Knives |

| SpotLit LED Clip-On Light by NiteIze
Dec 17, 2007 In early 2007, Niteize introduced the DropLit, a quarter-sized LED on a horseshoe-shaped hook that you could put on zippers, key chains, pets, you name it. It was a bit difficult to remove the hook from the LED, so Niteize changed the hook design, and now it has a real winner, the SpotLit, which appeared at retail in fall 2007. | Petzl Adapt Tikka
Dec 4, 2006 Call it serendipity. One of our gear testers had been grumbling about the dark storage closet beneath his apartment, saying the landlord retrofitted the space to hold a washing machine and dryer, but hadn't installed a light fixture. Washing clothes at night in "the cave" was an adventure, to say the least. Then, Petzl delivered its Adapt Tikka kit, which includes several mounts that can hold the main lamp body of a Tikka headlamp. With these mounts, the Tikka is no longer just a headlamp, but a multi-purpose light source for a wide variety of activities and environments. | Mini EverLite Solar Light
Oct 23, 2006 We test literally dozens upon dozens of headlamps and flashlights each year, all with claims to be the next greatest advancement in luminescence. We don't always jump up and down when it comes to testing lights; however, after testing the Mini EverLite, we did perform a subtle little jig for joy, and as a result we've added one more light to our arsenal of illumination options. | SureFire E2e flashlight
Jan 3, 2005 When it comes to illumination, the outdoor world is one that has become dominated by LED headlamps -- and for good reason: Convenience and longevity of light rule. However, LEDs still don't come close to generating the dazzling power and illumination afforded by high-end xenon gas-filled lamps and, in that category, the clear favorite for our team is the SureFire E2e Executive Elite -- a slim, 4.5-inch, 3.1-ounce tiny wonder. Fitnex E55SG Elliptical Sep 14, 2011 So many ellipticals can be large and pricy, and the though the smaller ones may have a lower price tag, what they give up to get there makes for a more wobbly ride that’s not as much fun. The Fitnex E55SG elliptical manages to be rather petite but still can hold its own when a user pushes it hard. Read Review | Comment on this review | Go to all Product Reviews |
