The 2009 SNEWS® / Backpacker Retailer of the Year awards were presented at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market during a small but enthusiastic happy hour gathering at the SNEWS / Backpacker booth on Jan. 22. Only two weeks left to enter the 2009 SNEWS / Backpacker Retailer of the Year Awards

Two weeks ago, we asked our readers if any considered themselves a top retailer, or if they knew of any retailers who would count as best in class. And, if so, we requested that nomination forms be filled out for each deserving store so that our judging team might be able to consider them for the ultimate retail award -- Retailer of the Year. The response to date has been overwhelming! Over 100 nomination forms have been filled out at www.snewsnet.com/roty, each with compelling stories about customer service, store quality, skilled staff, and more, all seeking to draw attention to one specialty store or another as deserving of recognition as the 2009 SNEWS / Backpacker Retailer of the Year. While many have entered already, there are many others we know are deserving of consideration, but time is running out. The last date nominations will be accepted is September 1, 2008. After that, it is all in the judges' hands.

Fitnex E55SG Elliptical

So many ellipticals can be large and pricy, and the though the smaller ones may have a lower price tag, what they give up to get there makes for a more wobbly ride that’s not as much fun. The Fitnex E55SG elliptical manages to be rather petite but still can hold its own when a user pushes it hard.
