Stunning Second Quarter
– Revenue Up 60% Over 2014 –
Northfield, Vermont (SNEWS) July 15, 2015 – Darn Tough Vermont, American manufacturer of the fastest growing collection of performance outdoor and lifestyle socks, has reported a record second quarter with topline growth, up 60% over the corresponding period in 2014. The company also reported June 2015 figures, posting a 79% increase over June 2014. These results represent a continuation of three years of unprecedented growth for the domestic producer of high-quality, unconditionally guaranteed socks.
These record earnings make it possible for the company to invest significantly in infrastructure to support continued, forecasted growth in a sustainable, robust fashion. The company has announced initiatives to add positions within its customer service group and to invest in its marketing and product development engines.
“We are fortunate to continue our exceptional growth, but with that growth comes an imperative to avoid complacency, and we must continue to push ourselves, especially when it comes to providing the highest standard of service and support to our dealers and end customers,” said Ric Cabot, Darn Tough Vermont president and CEO. “Over the next 18 months, we will be making significant investments in growing our bench strength and supporting our customer support infrastructure as well as our sales and marketing operations. We’ll also begin a 100,000 square foot expansion at our Northfield, Vermont mill in 2016, creating 150 new positions over the next three years and an additional 300 full-time jobs in five years.”
Going into the third quarter with significant momentum, Darn Tough Vermont expects to exceed its revenue targets in the coming quarters, according to Cabot.
