STRATHAM, N.H., August 14, 2014 – Timberland today announced that Matt Allen has been promoted to vice president of U.S. sales. In this role, Allen will oversee Timberland’s wholesale business in the United States for both footwear and apparel. Matt moves into this new role following two years as senior sales director of National Accounts, where he managed the channel during a time of accelerated revenue growth. Allen has a strong record of performance during his fourteen-year tenure with Timberland. He has held various leadership roles across Timberland’s wholesale business including footwear and apparel for department stores, national athletic accounts and independent shoe retailers.

Matt brings 30 years of sales and sales management experience in footwear and apparel to his new position.He began his career at Timberland in 2000 as director of footwear and apparel sales for Department Stores; prior to Timberland, he worked in various sales roles at PVH Corp and Salant/Perry Ellis. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University.A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, Allen and his family will relocate from Baltimore to the Seacoast area later this year.
